Brussels – Morocco’s Mohamed Benhamou has been elected president of the “International Network for Strategic Issues” during the constituent assembly of the new body.
Benhamou told MAP this election attests to the esteem and trust enjoyed by Morocco within the international community.
He added that the Washington-based body aims especially at following the profound strategic and geopolitical changes under way in the world for more than a decade now, and creating reflection and analysis synergies on major strategic stakes.
President of both the Moroccan Centre for Strategic Studies and the African Federation for Strategic Studies and member of the Scientific Committee of several international institutions including “International Institute of Strategic Studies” in London, Benhammou is also an international expert on security and terrorism.
