London , Oct. 17 – UK Foreign Secretary William Hague is due in Morocco on Monday afternoon on an official visit, the UK Foreign Office announced in a press release.
This is Hague’s first visit to Morocco since he became Foreign Secretary in May 2010.

He added that “our Government is determined to expand Britain’s diplomatic engagement with Morocco and its neighbours, and to do all we can to support peaceful economic and political reform across the region.”
The official also welcomed the progress made in Morocco, and hoped his visit “will be the beginning of stronger co-operation between our countries in the years to come.”
He noted that he will launch a series of Arab Partnership projects in Morocco, aimed at supporting political participation and tackling corruption.
Moreover, the UK diplomatic chief pointed out that his discussions in Morocco will also examine the “vast untapped opportunities for greater economic cooperation between Europe and the region.”
