Morocco submitted to the FIFA its official bid to host the 2013 and 2014 Club World Cup.
Morocco presented a “solid, complete and professional” candidacy to host the tournament, said Secretary General of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Khalid Laaraichi.
In a presentation on Wednesday before the weekly cabinet meeting, Minister of Youth and Sports, Moncef BelKhayat highlighted the importance for Morocco’s football to host such a large scale event.
He said the stadiums of Casablanca, Tangier, Marrakech and Agadir would be the main venues for the nine-day Club World Cup.
Some 320 million dirhams will be earmarked to host the tournament, he noted.
