The news was revealed by the president of the Morocco-Saudi business council, Khalid Benjelloun, at the end of a meeeting between the Moroccan confederation of industries (CGEM) and a delegation of Saudi economic operators in Casablanca.

The meeting, explained Benjelloun, had the goal of approving the studies made to develop commercial trades between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, through the creation of a maritime line linking the two countries. The line, which will be operative starting from next year, will be used particulary to improve the export of Moroccan citrus to Saudi Arabia.
The two nations have also agreed of creating a shared investment fund to allow Moroccan-Saudi, Moroccan or Saudi Arabian companies to develop mainly on the Moroccan market but also in other markets of the African continent.
