MARRAKESH, MOROCCO (VOR) – A three day conference of international journalists is being held in Marrakesh, Morocco about how the global news industry is changing and has changed over the last few years.
Five hundred journalists from fifty-three countries are weighing in on how technology is driving the way in which news is being covered and delivered. Host Ric Young talks with VOR Senior Producer Kate Zickel, who is in Marrakesh for the conference, about how the internet is creating innovative ways for journalists to report their stories, and how the marketing of news to younger consumers is challenging the established journalism community.
