Lisbon, Oct 14, 2011 – HM King Mohammed VI is a reformer who introduced deep political and constitutional reforms, Portuguese Foreign Minister Paulo Portas said on Friday.
Portas, who will pay a visit to Morocco on the same day, highlighted the time-honored friendship between the two countries, saying that Portugal attaches particular importance to fostering ties with friendly and neighbourly Morocco.
Portas said that during his visit to Morocco, the first stop of a regional tour, he will hold talks with his Moroccan counterpart Taib Fassi Fihri on the latest development in the Mediterranean region and other international issues of common concern.
The Portuguese official also noted that the geographic proximity between the two countries should be taken advantage of to develop bilateral cooperation.
