WAM ABU DHABI: Through participating at the 5th International Plastics, Rubber, Composites, Packaging and Conditioning Trade Fair (Plast Expo) held in Casablanca, Morocco, between June 19-22, 2013, Borouge and Borealis, leading providers of chemical and innovative plastics solutions, have reinforced their commitment to continue providing their customers in North Africa with sustainable solutions that contribute to addressing the processing and end-use performance challenges of the region’s manufacturing sectors.
Mounia Boucetta, Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and New Technologies in Morocco, and Zahra Maafiri, General Manager of the Moroccan Centre for Export Promotion, visited the Borouge stand at the exhibition where they were briefed by Hazeem Al Suwaidi, Senior Vice President Middle East, Africa and Exports (MEAE), about the significant role of Borouge’s innovative plastics solutions.
Borouge’s and Borealis’ mutual stand contained samples of both companies’ portfolio of products and advanced applications made of polyolefin solutions that enhance product capabilities and aesthetics whilst delivering time and resource savings to plastics processors and end product manufacturers for the advanced packaging, healthcare, mobility and infrastructure sectors. Incorporating the latest polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) materials, the featured applications reflect Borouge and Borealis’ commitment in supporting high quality and differentiation alongside more efficient and environmentally sustainable manufacturing.
“Participating at the Plast Expo provides Borouge and Borealis a significant opportunity to further explore the Moroccan market, underpin commitment to our customers in North Africa and discuss their new requirements, in addition to introduce our new technologies and solutions and generate new business leads,” said Al Suwaidi. “The event is an efficient tool to increase our market share, enhance our brand recognition in the industry and update our marketplace.” “While we introduce the region’s plastics processors, manufacturers and brand owners, as well as our current and potential customers at this exhibition to our new solutions, technologies and expansion projects, we aim to take them a step closer to achieve the efficiency, high-quality and environmental-related benefits they need to be sustainable within their markets,” added Al Suwaidi.
Officials of both companies introduced the exhibition visitors to the essential role that plastics play in improving our quality of life for example by providing access to clean water or reducing emissions from automobiles. Through Plast Expo, Borouge and Borealis are taking active steps to improve the possibilities for manufacturers in this region to benefit from their innovative solutions as exemplified by the end products on display at their stand.
