New York , Oct 7, 2011 – Kenya called, on Thursday in New York, for negotiating without preconditions and in good faith in order to reach a just and mutually acceptable solution to the Sahara issue.

“Kenya supports the ongoing negotiating process on the Sahara under the auspices of the UN Secretary General and his Personal Envoy,” said Kenya’s Ambassador S. K. Maina during a debate of the UN General Assembly’s 4th Committee.

“Despite rounds of informal talks held last year, little progress have been registered so far,” deplored the Kenyan diplomat.
