Rabat Hosts Panafrican Parliamentary Conference On Consolidation Of Law-Making Capacities

Rabat –
A Panafrican parliamentary conference themed “Enhancing the Capacity of Leaders of African Parliaments for more Astute Legislation” opened this Monday in Rabat.
The three-day conference is held by the Tangiers-based African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD).
The main objective of the conference, which is a follow-up to the training programme organized by CAFRAD in 2009, is to assess the performance, challenges of the legislature and empower the parliamentarians for a higher competence in the discharge of their legislative duties for the development of Africa. It will be an opportunity for participants to critically auto-evaluate the measure of their delivery of dividends of democracy to the citizens who elected them.
CAFRAD Also seeks through this conference to enhancing the human capacity and competence of the various legislative houses in Africa as part of the overall objectives of modernizing governance and administrative institutions and agencies.
