Nouakchott on Monday (April 15th) hosted a meeting of parliamentarians from “5+5 Dialogue” countries, AMI reported. The final document called for expanding co-operation to boost security and stability in the western Mediterranean.

On Tuesday, the foreign ministers of Mauritania, Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia, along with their counterparts from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Malta, and France, will also gather in the Mauritanian capital.

Sahel security, the situation in Syria, and the Middle East peace process will top the agenda of talks.
