A Days of Moroccan Culture event is now underway at the centre, featuring a variety of performances from lectures to poetry readings and concerts.
A concert by a female troupe from Tetwaan, Morocco, will bring music from the historic region of Al Andalus to life tonight at 8pm.
It will be followed tomorrow with a lecture at 11am on the Portuguese presence in Morocco and Bahrain, delivered by Rabat-based College of Arts and Humanities vice-dean Dr Abdulraheem Binhada. At 8pm, Moroccan poet Wafa Al Omrani will read a selection of her poetry.
The event will end on Thursday with a repeat performance by the female troupe at 8pm. All events are free and open to the public.
