Morocco cuts interconnection rates

Moroccan regulator ANRT has announced reductions in interconnection rates effective 1 January, reports Yabiladi.com. Maroc Telecom, Meditel and Wana will all charge MAD 0.03 for mobile call completion, with calls costing MAD 0.14 per minute, pre-tax. For fixed-line interconnection, tariffs will vary depending of the terminal used: MAD 0.116 for Wana’s fixed wireless, EUR 0.036 for Maroc Telecom local, MAD 0.074 for Meditel and Wana, and MAD 0.113 for Maroc Telecom double transit. (MAD 1 equals approximately EUR 0.09).
