Hillary Clinton suffered a concussion earlier this week, USA Today reports Dec. 15. The Secretary of State had to cancel a meeting in Morocco over Middle East violence recently due to a stomach virus. News emerged Saturday that Clinton fainted, which resulted in her head injury.
The Secretary of State’s spokesman, Phillippe Reines, said Clinton “will continue to be monitored regularly by her doctors.”
Reines added in his statement:
“At their recommendation, she will continue to work from home next week, staying in regular contact with department and other officials. She is looking forward to being back in the office soon.”
“While suffering from a stomach virus, Secretary Clinton became dehydrated and fainted, sustaining a concussion.”
Clinton will be in regular contact wit the State Department while working from home.
Hillary Clinton has been in the news over speculation she might run in 2016 for U.S. President. She insists that’s not in her plans whatsoever. The 65-year-old Secretary of State is planning to retire her position soon, however. Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., is predicted to be her replacement.
