Casablanca is hosting the conference while Morocco’s Government is carving out a framework to introduce Islamic finance to the majority-Muslim country.

The conference, which begins today (29 November) will be hosted by insurers, bankers and heads of financial institutions from countries engaged, or looking to engage, in Islamic finance, such as Tunisia, the UAE, Malaysia, Bahrain, France and Luxembourg.
The Moroccan Government is currently working on installing a legal framework to accommodate Islamic finance in the country.
