The Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa has received “Best African Hotel” Award at the Prix Villégiature Awards 2012.

The Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa Hotel was recently nominated by the jury members of the Prix Villégiature Awards 2012 for the “Best African Hotel” Award. The hotel, which opened just over a year ago, was conceived in a sustainable and integrated approach. Nature is the source of all inspirations here!

At the heart of the Mogador estate, the Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa enjoys an exceptional setting. Nested at the core of a 1,500 acres forest, protected by a spectacular natural dune and bordered by a wild beach, the place is infused by the amazing serenity of wide-open spaces.

Only 3 kilometres away from Essaouia, Mogador is an exclusive, new-generation seaside resort. It epitomizes the sustainable development positioning drawn by the 2020 Vision. It encourages and favours economic growth for the region while preserving the soul of Essaouira, the renowned harbour city whose medina is listed as a UNESCO’s World Sites.

The results of the Prix Villégiature will be unveiled on November, 5th. The Sofitel Essaouira Mogador Golf & Spa could rank among the world’s greatest hotels, such as the Plaza Athenée in Paris or the Royal Palm in Mauritius.
