Morocco, which taking part for the time in the Iberian-American Summit of Cadiz as an observer country, has solid ties with members of this grouping, Spanish Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Ibero-America Jesus Garcia Aldaz said.
Morocco’s participation in this 22nd summit is very important and will enable the Kingdom to further its relations with Iberian-American countries, Jesus Garcia told MAP on the sidelines of the event in which Morocco is represented by Foreign Minister Saad Dine El Otmani.
The Spanish official highlighted the prospects for economic cooperation between Morocco and Iberian-American countries, recalling that the meeting of Maghreb and Iberian-American small and medium enterprises, held in October in Madrid, was an occasion to reinforce economic ties between these businesses with the aim of setting up a common cooperation zone.
The meeting, which brought together trade experts from both regions, was also an opportunity to underline the potentials of the two emerging regions and examine the current economic juncture, he noted.
