Barcelona – The new government of the Balearic Islands has distanced itself from the acts of certain circles hostile to Morocco’s territorial integrity, who used the emblem of the government of this autonomous region of Spain at a demonstration in favour of polisario’s separatists, a Moroccan consular source said on Friday.
This position was expressed by many government officials of the Spanish Archipelago during meetings, on Wednesday in Palma de Majorque, with Morocco’s consul general in Barcelona.
The new government, which took over last June, has decided to ban all use of its emblem during activities organised by the separatists’ supporters, the source said.
