Launch of 15th solidarity campaign: a strong royal attachment to the Kingdom's lofty valuesMarrakech – The strong attachment of HM King Mohammed VI and his commitment in favour of the Kingdom’s lofty humanitarian, civilizational and religious values have been illustrated once again with the launch, Wednesday in Marrakech, by the Sovereign of the 15th national solidarity campaign.

The yearly event, held under the presidency of HM the King, who ever since his accession to the throne set social action as a national priority, aims at boosting solidarity between the various components of Moroccan society.
The campaign, organized by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity from November 7 to November 17 under the motto “Let’s Unite to Help the Poor,” also stems from the will of HM the King to foster the culture of solidarity among all Moroccans, offering them the opportunity to renew their attachment to their civic values by contributing for the benefit of millions of poor people across the Kingdom.
The solidarity campaign is designed to raise funds to finance social projects and implement action plans that have steadily evolved over the years to meet the needs of the target populations.
On this occasion, HM the King inaugurated a centre for training and qualification in the craft industry. The project is part of a comprehensive programme implemented by the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity to set up reference centres for young people in order to ensure a professional training matching the socio-economic situation of the craft sector.
The Sovereign, who visited the various areas of the 30 million dirham centre, handed cheques, for a total of 3.45 million dirhams, to 21 associations, mostly from Al Haouz region, to implement actions particularly in terms of schooling, education and training.
The Sovereign also handed mementos to three members of the board of directors of the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity in recognition of their support for the Foundation’s projects and programmes.
