Team Oleoban/MAN Portugal keeps distinguishing itself at the Moroccan Rally. Elisabete Jacinto managed once again to prove her talent as a truck race driver when she conquered the 2nd place at the third stage of the African competition, which goes on until October the 20th.
In this race, the driver keeps showing her tenacity, and she considers the possibility of finishing among the first three in her category.
“We knew from the start that this competition was going to be rather hard and well fought for. Very strong race drivers and teams have enrolled with highly prepared trucks. However, we are driving at a good pace and we are going to keep focused to be able to achieve our main goal, which is to get to the podium”, mentioned Elisabete Jacinto at the end of the third stage.
On the first day of the competition, Team Oleoban/ MAN Portugal was bestowed the second place when the official classification was made public, ahead of former rally champion Miki Biasion, who suffered a 30-minute penalty. At the second stage the team was delayed by the extreme hardness of the special, which featured lots of sand. The Lusitanian team finished fifth.
Elisabete Jacinto, who got the 12th place in the car/truck category during the third stage, managed once again to finish ahead of Miki Biasion’s powerful truck, conquering one place in the general classification, which enables to go on fighting for a podium place.
