The 60th session of the executive council of the Arab Social Affairs Ministers, under Egypt’s Insurance and Social Affairs Minister Nagwa Khalil, kicked off at the Arab League headquarters on Sunday14/10/2012.
Representatives of the council member states, which include Morocco, Libya, Lebanon, Mauritania, Jordan and Yemen, attended the meeting.
The meeting is of special importance, said Ambassador Faeqa Saeed Al-Saleh, the AL’s Assistant Secretary General for Social Affairs, adding that the meeting will discuss a wide range of issues, including preparations for the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit, salted in Riyadh in 2013.
The meeting will also discuss preparations for the upcoming Arab Summit in Doha in March 2013, she added.
