According to US and international media (e.g. The National, Voice of America, Ame Info, Albawaba, etc), Morocco and Jordan will receive aid from the Gulf Cooperation Council under a five-year development aid programme. The aid aims to enhance GCC partnership and association with the two countries. Also, the European Investment Bank (EIB) has confirmed its commitment to increasing its financing operations in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and Jordan in support of the transition to democracy in the Mediterranean, with the four countries in question getting $7.5 billion from the EIB by the end of 2013.

On the business side, Morocco’s state-run Office Cherifien des Phosphates (Groupe OCP) plans to raise $242 million in its first ever bond issue that may take place this year.
