France and Spain have signed an agreement to intensify cooperation to “cut all drug routes,” officials said on Thursday, adding that Morocco and Portugal would be invited to join the initiative.
French Interior Minister Manuel Valls and Spanish counterpart Jose Fernandez-Diaz signed the agreement late Wednesday in Paris during a bilateral summit.

Valls said there would be more policing and tighter legislation to stop the entry of narcotics, especially cannabis from Morocco and cocaine from Latin America.
