London – The cooperation agreement signed, Thursday in London, between The City UK and Casablanca Finance City (CFC) gives substance to the strategic business partnership between Morocco and the United Kingdom, Morocco’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Chrifa Lalla Joumala, said.

“Through this agreement, our joint efforts are beginning to bear fruits, thus giving substance to the strategic business partnership set up at the highest level of government between Morocco and the United Kingdom,” Cherifa Lalla Joumala said in an address at the signing ceremony.
The agreement is the culmination of three years of continuous efforts to deepen and diversify trade between the two countries, the ambassador said.
She recalled that Morocco has, ever since its independence, embarked on a comprehensive reform process, based on a set of fundamentals, namely political pluralism, tolerance, free initiative and openness onto the outside world.
“Under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco has significantly deepened and accelerated this reform process to strengthen democratic norms and the rule of law, expand the rights and freedoms, overcome social disparities and promote the economy,” said Chrifa Lalla Joumala, who added that special attention was given as part of this vision to the economy as an engine of human development.
Morocco has tirelessly endeavoured to promote competitiveness, improve infrastructure networks, promote the business climate and strengthen its market openness to the outside world, and has chosen to make good use of commercial diplomacy by setting up an extensive network of free trade agreements with a number of countries and trade agreements with African states.
The ambassador also expressed hope that the British partners will seize the opportunities Morocco has to offer.
