RABAT, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) — Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy arrived here Wednesday for the 10th high-level meeting with his Moroccan counterpart, Abdelilah Benkirane.
Rajoy heads a delegation that includes Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo, Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz and Justice Minister Alberto Ruiz Gallardon.
At the meeting, the two sides will discuss economic cooperation, against the background of economic difficulties facing both countries and political changes in the Maghreb. A number of bilateral accords are expected to be signed.
Spain is the second largest economic and commercial partner of Morocco after France, and around 20,000 small and medium-sized Spanish businesses export to Morocco.
According to Moroccan government statistics, Spanish exports to Morocco saw a rise of more than 20 percent in the first half of 2012, compared with that of the previous year.
