RABAT, Sept 20 (Reuters) – Morocco’s consumer price inflation eased to an annual 1 percent in August from 1.7 percent in July, the country’s planning authority said on Thursday.
Food prices rose by an annual 1.5 percent by end-August while they were up 3.1 percent in July, the High Planning authority said.
Month on month, overall consumer price inflation was 0.7 percent after a 1.4 percent rise in food prices between July and August.
