Washington – The United States and Morocco are committed together to working for peace, security and justice in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, the U.S. State Department spokesperson, Victoria Nuland, said Monday during her daily press briefing.
Ms. Nuland recalled, in this regard, the content of the telephone conversation HM King Mohammed VI had, Sunday, with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in which the Sovereign offered his heartfelt condolences to the U.S. people and administration, following the attack against the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.
HM the King also denounced the dubious, unacceptable provocations undermining the sacred values of Islam.
Victoria Nuland recalled the launch, last Thursday in Washington, of the Morocco-USA Strategic Dialogue, which is consistent with the royal vision developed by the Sovereign since the important state visit to Washington in 2000, at the invitation of President William J. Clinton.
