Dubai: The UAE U-18 national golf team returned home from Morocco recently after attending a pre-season camp to fine tune their skills ahead of their forthcoming engagements on the domestic and international circuits.
The camp was part of the Emirates Golf Federation’s intensive training programme to prepare the team for the forthcoming Pan Arab Championship, held at Riffa Views in Bahrain in November. Accompanied by Khalid Mubarak Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Emirates Golf Federation, seven junior members selected went through their paces under the watchful eyes of the UAE national junior coach Jason Froggatt. In preparation for the season ahead and one of the four spots available for the Pan Arab Championships, every aspect of golf was covered during the camp.“Different forms of play on the courses at Royal Dar es Salam provided the players to implement all what they had learnt throughout the week,” said Shamsi.
