LONDON, Aug 8 (KUNA) — Morocco’s Abdalaati Iguider is through to the 800m athletics final after passing his heat in his exact personal best time of 13mins, 09.17secs on Wednesday, while another seven Arabs dropped out of the race.
The earlier 1,500m bronze-medalist came fifth in heat 2 and will join another 14 competitors in the final later today at 19:30 London time.
Moroccan compatriots Aziz Lehbabi and Sofyan Boukintar, Algeria’s Rabeh Abboud, Saudi Arabians Mikhled Al-Otaibi and Hussain Al-Hamda and Bahrain’s Bellisima Shougi all failed to pass their heats.
