Casablanca – Libyan prime minister Abderrahim El Kib has commended the “serious, brotherly” position adopted by Morocco over the February 17 revolution which toppled the Gaddafi regime.
El Kib called, in a statement to the press on Tuesday after the audience he was granted by HM King Mohammed VI at the royal palace in Casablanca, for bilateral relations to be reinforced for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
“We endeavour with all means to reinforce cordial relations between the two brotherly peoples towards serving the two countries’ interests”, he said.
The Libyan official added that his visit to the Kingdom is an opportunity to examine means to give fresh impetus to bilateral relations and revitalize the Arab Maghreb Union, along with developping partnership projects in promising, strategic sectors for the two countries.
The head of the Moroccan government, Abdellilah Benkirane, told the press that Morocco aspires to promote its cooperation with Libya in all fields.
