Ammar Al-Lawati, Nawras Payment Services Manager, said, “Postpaid customers can now transfer airtime per month to customers in 15 countries with over 50 different operators. International Credit Transfers are safe, fast, convenient, reliable and cost effective.”

He added, “We’ve had a fantastic response from Nawras Mousbak prepaid customers who have used the International Credit Transfer and now we are thrilled to be extending it to our Nawras Ajel postpaid customers too. This convenient service allows more customers to get closer to their friends and family abroad in a number of different countries and we will be adding even more destinations to the list shortly in order to help and delight our customers.”

The International Credit Transfer service is simple and easy to use by dialling *222# to view instructions in English or Arabic. From the menu displayed, International Credit Transfer can be selected and the recipient’s international mobile number entered. This is followed by deciding the amount of airtime to send from the choice of four denominations shown for each currency.

When the International Credit Transfer message is sent by a Nawras Ajel customer, the corresponding value and charge is added directly to their bill. When the service is used by Nawras Mousbak customers it is deducted from the sending customer’s credit. In all cases, the recipient receives the credit in real time.

Nawras customers can receive more information about this service by sending a free SMS with the keyword ‘intr’ to 1500 or by calling 1500.
