Smara – A Saharawi woman from the Tindouf camps (Algeria’s south-west), who benefited recently from the family exchange visit operation, has decided to stay in the southern city of Smara, ending thus the suffering she endured for years in these camps.

Under this program, members of Sahrawi families living in the Moroccan southern provinces visit their relatives in the Tindouf camps, and vice-versa.

Aged 72 years, Khira Ibrahim Mbarek, from the Rguibet Lebihat tribe, arrived in Smara on May 9th as part of the program’s 12th trip in 2012.

She came with her two sons Mohamed Abed Mohamed Mbarek (44 years) and Haidar Abed Mohamed Mbarek (34 years).
