By Tamer Abolenin (with photos) GENEVA, April 27 (KUNA) — Morocco is keen on boosting cultural ties with Kuwait; thus, an initiative is being formulated to achieve such goal, Moroccan Minister of Culture Muhammad Amin Sbihi said here Friday.
In an exclusive statements to KUNA on the sideline of the 26th Geneva International Fair for books and press, the official said that Kuwaiti cultural relations were unique and historical, noting that both nations were planning on expanding such ties in the near future.
In regards to the cultural scene in his country, the Moroccan Minister affirmed that the new Moroccan constitution encouraged cultural diversity, noting that the educational curriculum in Morocco made sure that younger generations would be informed about other cultures. He added that the current situation in Morocco helped in the spread of the culture of democracy which is now heavily supported by the state.
The Arab spring had its impact on the Arab world, said the Sbihi, stressing that its positive impact on Morocco helped in expanding freedoms on several domains including culture and heritage.
