Rabat – Morocco does not consider discussions on the fishing agreement with the European Union (EU) unless within the framework of full respect of its resources, environment and interests of the Moroccan fishing industry, said on Friday Minister of Agriculture and Marine Fisheries Aziz Akhannouch.
The minister’s statement was made following a meeting in Rabat, with Maria Damanaki, European Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, said a statement of the ministry.
Damanaki is paying an exploratory visit to Morocco with the aim of opening new discussion on the fishing agreement.
