Washington – HM King Mohammed VI has given a “shining example” of solidarity by ordering further humanitarian aid to be sent to Niger to alleviate the suffering of Malian refugees in that country, the U.S. organisation Corps-Africa said, stressing that the royal initiative “can serve as a model for all African nations.”

“All of us at CorpsAfrica are inspired by HM the King Mohammed VI’s decision to send humanitarian aid (…) and for all His Majesty does to support fellow African nations on behalf of Morocco,” the organisation said in a press release on Wednesday.

On the same subject, Rosa Whitaker, expert on African issues, said on Tuesday that “King Mohammed VI and the people of Morocco must be applauded for their decisive and quick response in aiding the tens of thousands of refugees fleeing the violence in Mali to Niger.”
