Maghreb Fez will face Egypt’s Zamalek in the African Champions League round of 16
Morocco’s Maghreb Fez beat Guinean side Horoya 3-0 on Sunday to reach the African Champions League round of 16.
The 2011 CAF Confederation Cup winners won 4-1 on aggregate as the first-leg ended in a 1-1 draw.
Hamza Abourazzouk scored twice in the 24 and 71 minutes for the Moroccans and Abdelhadi Halhoul completed added the third on 29 minutes, just one minute before being sent off.
Maghreb Fez, who are making their maiden Champions League appearance, take on Egyptian giants Zamalek in the next knockout phase.
Zamalek went through on the away-goal rule earlier in the day following a 2-2 aggregate draw against Ivory Coast’s Africa Sports.
