Geneva – Morocco fully supports Algeria’s accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ambassador Omar Hilale said on Monday.
“Morocco, as a partner country for Algeria in the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU), fully supports this neighbourly country’s accession to the WTO,” Hilale said at a meeting of the Working Group on the Accession of Algeria at the WTO headquarters in Geneva.
On this occasion, Hilale underscored that Algeria’s entry to the WTO will add a new momentum to bilateral economic cooperation with Morocco and will revitalize the Maghreban integration process.
“Algeria accession will reinforce the presence of Maghreban countries within the WTO, will improve economic ties and trade between the AMU member states and will allow this regional grouping to further contribute to developing world trade,” highlighted the Moroccan diplomat.
