Three Moroccans came on top during the 5th edition of the Ouarzazate ultra international marathon run this weekend both in the men’s and ladies’ category.
The Moroccans dominated the marathon race in the men’s category as Abdelkrim Boubkera completed 42km in 2h 07min 30sec. In the ladies’ category, Meriem Khali crossed the finish line first in 2h 47:18In the 10km race, Aziza Alaoui finished first in the ladies’ category in 33:58. However in the men’s category, Kenya’s Jonas Cheruiyot broke the Moroccan domination and finished first in 28min 05sec.. The race witnessed the participation of 600 athletes coming from several countries like France,Spain, Germany,England and USA.
