The legendary Russian sailing ship The Krusenstern set off on a long voyage to the coast of Morocco and France on Thursday, ITAR-TASS reports.
During the trip, 120 cadets from several naval schools in Kaliningrad, Astrakhan, Yeisk and St. Petersburg will be trained on board.
This is the first of three trips planned for The Krusenstern in 2012. The ship will enter the port of Casablanca in Morocco for the first time in 20 years.
The most remote port of call in the spring voyage will be the French port of Sete where the Russian ship will take part in a festival due to be arranged from the 6th to the 9th of April.
