After over a year in the wildness, Abraham Ruhumuriza will lead a six-man team as they bid to win medals in the Tour of Morocco that runs from March 25 to April 3.
The veteran rider has been reinstated in the national team after showing high levels of discipline and good form especially after posting good performances in training and local competitions since the start of year.
Considered one of the best natural talents in the country, the four time Tour of Rwanda winner is now keen to transform his local form on the continental scene.
“I have been racing well since the start of the year and feel incredible energy but the continental races are difficult because of the nature of opposition.
“We will do everything to get podium finishes in the race,” the Huye based rider said.
Team Rwanda has a blend of youth and experience. Young riders like Joseph Bizimuremyi, Emery Bintunimana and Nicodem Habiyambere will be complimented by the experienced trio of Gasore Hageteka, Nathan Byukusenge and Abraham Ruhumuriza.
