Lower House Speaker Holds Talks With First Vice-President Of Quebec National Assembly

Rabat – Lower House Speaker Karim Ghellab held on Tuesday in Rabat talks with First Vice-President of Quebec National Assembly Fatima Houda Pepin on parliamentary cooperation prospects.
Speaking to the press following the meeting, Pepin said that she examined with Ghellab the exchange of experience and visits between Moroccan and Quebec MPs, adding that Quebec’s National Assembly is willing to support Morocco in its democracy promotion efforts.

“We have also raised the possibility of creating a Moroccan-Quebecer joint committee,” she said.

Pepin, who is of Moroccan descent, voiced pride regarding the headway achieved by Morocco on the path of democracy.
