Madrid – Spain’s Foreign Minister José Manuel Garcia-Margallo commended on Tuesday the progress achieved by Morocco in a climate of stability.
“Morocco achieved its evolution without revolution,” underscored the Spanish Minister in a statement to Spanish private radion station Cadena SER.
Garcia-Margallo also called on the EU to support the reforms launched in Morocco and Tunisia.
On the Crisis in Syria, he called on the international community to put more pressure on the Syrian regime.
“The international community is called upon to put more pressure to oblige President Bachar Al Assad to negotiate” his departure, said the Spanish Foreign Minister, adding that a military intervention in Syria may take place without the green light of the UN as was the case in Iraq in 2003.
