RABAT, March 9 (KUNA) — Despite describing the worsening situation in Syria as “unacceptable and scandalous”, France and Morocco expressed opposition to military interference to force President Bashar Al-Assad regime to stop the deadly crackdown on anti-regime activists.
“We reject any military interference in Syria,” Morocco’s Saad Eddine Othmani said at a joint press conference with his French counterpart Alain Juppe here, adding that Morocco back the Arab League efforts resolve the crisis diplomatically.
The French guest also made it clear that the military option “is not on the agenda.” The two officials urged Syrians opposition to unite to help achieve their freedom aspirations. (end) adt.ibi KUNA 092140 Mar 12NNNN
