CHILDREN at Church Lane Primary School in Sleaford enjoyed the opportunity to have a taste of different cultures from around the world with a week of activities
They were visited by parents from Morocco, Spain, Poland and France, who came in to school every afternoon from Monday to Friday just before the half term holiday, to talk to the pupils about their different cultures.
Spending time in each of the classes from Years One to Six, the parents made traditional foods from their home countries for the Church Lane pupils to try.
The children also watched films, looked at a variety of artefacts and photos from each of the countries and had a go at speaking some of the languages.
At the end of the week, the parents were presented with flowers and a book of work that the children had completed.
Headteacher Tracey Cockram said: “It was a delight to see the pupils so enthusiastic about their learning and it was wonderful to see the link between home and school being strengthened.”
