Rabat – Chairwoman of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats at the European Parliament, Hannes Swoboda, said it is possible to find an honorable solution to the fisheries agreement between Morocco and European Union (EU).
In a meeting, on Monday in Rabat, with Speaker of the House of Representatives Karim Ghellab, Swoboda said that Morocco is an important partner for the EU, calling for creating a climate that is appropriate to consolidate bilateral cooperation through constructive and regular dialogue between the two parties, a statement by the House said.
The European official, who is paying a visit to Morocco, commended the Morocco-EU agriculture free trade agreement that was adopted by the European parliament.
During this meeting, Ghellab insisted on the importance of finding new mechanisms to strengthen dialogue between Moroccan and European MPs on issues of common interest and promoting the role of Joint Parliamentary Committee that brings together members from Morocco and EU’s parliaments.
