Paris – French group, Sofiprotéol, will develop new agri-food products in Morocco, the group’s Director General Philippe Tillous-Borde announced.
We have devised a strategy to increase the value of agricultural production notably in the field of cooking oil, Tillous-Borde told MAP.
He added that the strategy will help Morocco reduce its imports of seed oil through promoting the plantation of rapeseed and sunflower.
Sofiprotéol became on Friday the largest stakeholder in Morocco’s cooking oil Lesieur Cristal after it bought 41% of its capital from the National Investment Company (SNI) for 115 million euros.
