Rabat – After law and order resumed in the city of Taza, priority will be given to the social causes behind the latest developments, Communication Minister, government’s spokesperson said on Tuesday.
In a press briefing following the weekly cabinet meeting, Mustapha El Khalfi said that efforts will focus on dealing with issues related to employment and exorbitant electricity bills.
Dialogue remains the ideal means to settle these problems, he insisted, highlighting the city’s harsh social and economic conditions.
Referring to damages to public and private properties, he said that the public prosecutor’s office will conduct investigations if complaints are lodged.
Reparation for damages to properties will be provided as part of a participatory action involving all parties concerned, he said.
The Minister reaffirmed that ensuring security is a main concern for the government which will not be indulgent on this matter.
