Said Mahrouf is a fashion designer hailing from Morocco. When he was nine years old, he and his family moved to Holland, and it was there that he studied fashion design. The collection he showed at 2012′sAmsterdam fashion week (AIFW) was made in his studio in Casablanca.

At the final show of the week Mahrouf presented his Haute Couture collection “Avalanche” which was inspired by the Avalanche rose and included a host of beautiful dresses. The whole collection was very feminine and elegant and the dresses were made of the most beautiful fabrics.

The front of the dresses may have been gorgeous, but the backs were even more stunning. He used, to fantastic effect, various different patterns for the backs. There was also a nice draping in the collection which gave a loose and lively feeling. Together with the shiny fabrics it made a refined completeness.
