Rabat – Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad-eddine El Othmani received, on Friday in Rabat, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Maghreb Region Raymond Maxwell.
The reception, which was attended by U.S. Ambassador in Rabat, was followed by a working meeting with the Minister Delegate to Foreign Minister Youssef Amrani.
Maxwell’s visit to Morocco is part of the strategic partnership and regular consultations conducted by officials from both countries to exchange views on many subjects of common interest, said the Foreign Ministry in a communiqué.
During the talks, the two parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, the situation in the Maghreb region, and other international topical issues, the statement added.
Economy, trade and investment were also discussed, as well as the strategies to follow in order to consolidate bilateral relations between Morocco and the United States.
