Paris – The COFACE, the former Compagnie Française d’Assurance pour le Commerce Extérieur, maintained Morocco’s risk ratings at A4, whether for country risk ratings or business climate assessment.
In its yearly report “country risk 2012”, issued in Paris on Monday, the COFACE kept Morocco’s ratings unchanged, without any downgrading or negative monitoring. Morocco was declared a low risk country.
COFACE assigns a rating to each of the 150 countries it monitors; this rating reflects the average risk of short-term non-payment for companies in this country. Seven families are used from A1 (the best) to D, as it is the case in Syria due to its economic and political environment’s high risk profile and very bad payment record.
