Organised byMagenta Global(Republic of Singapore), the 4th Annual Maghreb/Middle East Renewable Energy Summit 2012 will convene on 16-17 April 2012 at the Hyatt Regency Casablanca in Casablanca, Morocco. (The “Maghreb” region, which includes Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia, is part of both Africa and the Arab world.)
Power executives from Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Turkey and Ethiopia, among others, will be in attendance to discuss the latest project updates and new tenders in the pipeline in 2012. In Morocco, the second round for wind power bidding has just been concluded and the financial close for these projects is expected by July 2012. Morocco’s Sovereign Wealth Energy Fund continues to welcome new equity partners for its new tranches of funding. (A “tranche” is one of a number of related securities offered as part of the same transaction, e.g., Class A, Class B.)
